Biathlon New Zealand (BNZ) is the National Federation of Biathlon in New Zealand.
Our Objectives
The objectives of BNZ are to:
To act as the governing body of Biathlon in New Zealand in order to promote, encourage, develop and protect biathlon in New Zealand in a way that is open and transparent and fully inclusive and representative of all known parties interested in Biathlon
To act as the point of contact between Biathlon Clubs in New Zealand and IBU and NZOC and other national or international bodies and to represent its members in dealings with IBU, NZOC and any other national or international bodies.
To encourage the development of high performance Biathlon as well as sport for all.
Our Constitution

Details of Incorporation
Biathlon New Zealand is a
New Zealand Incorporated Society and was incorporated on 16th December 1994. Biathlon New Zealand is registred under the The Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
Annual General Meeting
The Biathlon New Zealand Annual General Meeting is held each year in May in Wanaka. We welcome attendance from all members.
Per the
BNZ Constitution - any member requiring any business to be discussed or any resolution to be considered at the Annual General Meeting shall give notice in writing to the Secretary/Administrator of such business all such resolution no later than 20 days prior to the date fixed for the meeting.
Sports Integrity Code
The Integrity Code sets consistent standards to prevent and address threats to integrity — including what is expected of sport and recreation organisations and participants. Organisations that adopt the Integrity Code commit to protecting participants from harm, making sport and recreation safer and fairer for all.
BNZ adopted the NZ Sport Integrity Child Protection Policy in 2022 and is implementing all aspects of the Integiry Code.
