The BNZ national championships will be held once again in September 2022 and will decide the national champions of New Zealand.

Categories for Men and Women (under 14, under 18, senior, master over 60).

Races will be held under IBU rules - which requires skiing with rifle and shooting on correctly sized prone and standing targets with no rifle rest.

Additional Novice category will allow for less experienced athletes and will allow for rifles being left at range, shooting on larger targets and rifle supports allowed.

The champs will feature a two shoot sprint race (distance dependant on category : 3-5 km)

Competitors must be a member of a NZ biathlon club. Competitors must register in advance to allow the allocation of rifles.
